Professor Roshan Taneja is the founder and former head of the acting department at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. He has been teaching acting for over 49 years today and is the first teacher of acting in India. The course and curriculum of his acting school is based on his experience and knowledge. Roshan Taneja School of Acting offers acting classes with a difference that train today's actor. This acting studio is a pioneer of method acting in India.
Actors are trained with the professional course and curriculum designed by Prof. Roshan Taneja himself. The four months full time acting course includes training in action, bollywood dance, yoga, concentration, scene performance, imagination, sense memory etc in his drama school. After completion of the acting courses the student emerges as an actor who is now ready to act "truthfully." There are many famous actors who have been trained by this acting institute in India like Abhishek Bachchan, Om Puri, Karishma Kapoor, Neelam, Mukesh Khanna, shabana Azmi etc. the list being endless. |
