Mr Roshan Taneja

Prof. Roshan Taneja

Professor Roshan Taneja, veteran Indian Guru of Acting, has been teaching acting for over 40 years today. He is accredited with training many of India's leading Film, Theatre and TV actors for four decades, besides nurturing the talents of a host of other actors.

Having trained at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York, under legendary American Guru of Acting, late Mr. Sanford Meisner and Mr. Sidney Polack; Professor Taneja is not only one of the first teachers of Acting in India, but also the pioneer of Method Acting in India.

Mr. Taneja is a database of knowledge and experience on acting. He has an answer to almost any problem that an actor can have. A very modest and unassuming man, his long list of achievements can be seen on the alumni page.

Mrs Mithika TanejaMrs. Mithika Taneja

Mrs. Mithika Taneja is a Diploma Holder in Cinema from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. After Bombay Actors Studio was established in Bombay (Mumbai) by Mr. Roshan Taneja, Mrs. Taneja partially assisted him with the classes, and in 1986-87 trained under him in acting. Ever since she has been an active part of the institution and the acting course. She conducts the Diction classes and Spot Speech classes, and is reputed for her exacting nature as a teacher. Such is her stringency for Diction that many students coming from different parts of India (or the world) with various regional accents have 'got rid' of it and adapted to the pure Hindustani accent.

Mr Raja Sevak

Mr. Raja Sevak

Mr. Raja Sevak, originally a Fabrication Engineer from Surat, had been working on the stage since childhood. Being born to theatre actors, acting seems to be in his blood. He completed his acting course from Actors Studio in 1998. But such was his talent and potential that Mr. Taneja himself made him an offer he couldn't refuse - to teach at Actors Studio. Ever since Mr. Sevak has been an instructing faculty and teaches subjects like Action Problem, Voice, Scenes. His extensive knowledge of so many subjects even outside of cinema and acting, is something that impresses most people. He is also a fine classical singer.
